Getting Started

Before Considering a Biomass boiler you need to think about where you will source your wood. Have you got your own supply or do you have a supplier that would be able to supply you with all the wood you need.

You would also need to consider where you would be able to situate the boiler and the tank. Preferable you would want them in your log shed or outhouse where your logs are stored for ease of loading the boiler.

The tank should be situated no further than 5 meters away horizontally from the boiler but can be further away if the tank is situated higher than the boiler. They do not need to be installed right next to the house as an under ground main can be laid. Dunster Heat has a 40kW boiler installed which is situated up in the log store about 45 meters away from the house.

Once you have had a look around our website and think a log boiler could be what you need phone or email Dunster Heat and we can answer any questions you may have.

If you are not familiar with Vigas boilers and Akvaterm accumulators and you would like to see an installed system we can arrange this at a site near you.

If you would then like a quote Mark Weatherlake can come and do a site visit for you to determine what size boiler you will need.
